Yesterday, concerned citizens of the Denver area gathered
on the steps of the capital to express their opinion of the massive spending
that the Obama administration is bent on.
But it wasn’t just Denver. There were similar rallies held in
Sacramento, Pittsburg, Greenville, Houston, Cheyenne, Seattle, and many others,
including Chicago – where this movement all started.
Rick Santelli, an on-air editor for CNBC, reporting live
from the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade, inspired this movement last week
with a rant that has
been heard around the world.
He called for Chicago Tea Party in July. This one was last minute, and had pretty good
turnout. In Denver, there were probably
200 people. Not as impressive as I would
have liked to seen. However, there are a
few things to consider.
1.
Organizers had about a week to work with.
2.
The participants were not unemployed, liberal,
hippie, welfare recipients, they were middle-class, working, contributors to
society.
3.
Participants were not experienced protestors,
most of us have never done this before.
4.
None of us were paid protestors, like the
leftists employ.
Protesting has always been generally considered a hippie
activity by real contributing Americans.
They could gather in large numbers and protest anything that didn’t suit
them, because they had lots of spare time.
They were suckling the federal teat and/or selling drugs, so they didn’t
have regular jobs. This is largely still
true of protestors.
In addition, the Democrat party has always used paid
protestors to accomplish their agenda.
With Big Money backers like George Soros, Ted Turner and Hugh Hefner,
they can afford to pay people to protest…and do.
The folks that show up to conservative rallies actually
believe in what they are protesting, and understand it. The other side is generally protesting, just
to be a part of something, or out of some false sense of guilt about something
they were told is wrong. And as I said
before, many are just paid to be there.
They don’t really know, nor do they care about what they are protesting.
The comedian duo, Penn & Teller are known for their
conservative stance on issues. They are
crude and in many cases, downright offensive.
But, in an episode of their show, “Penn & Teller: Bull****!”, they
exposed this new generation of wannabe hippies and their protests, and how
devoted to their cause the really are.
They sent a crew to some wannabe hippie rally with a
petition to ban a chemical called “Dihydrogen Monoxide”, explaining that all
kinds of corporations were using it in their products, everything from baby
food to nuclear power. They told people
that it caused sweating and urination among other things. They got hundreds of signatures, even the
organizer of the rally signed.
Anyone who completed 6th grade that would take
the time to examine the chemical’s properties, would see that this chemical has
two parts (Di) Hydrogen and one part (mon or mono) Oxygen…or commonly known as
H2O. So they got hundreds
of people to sign a petition to ban water.

The difference between these folks and the thinking,
common sense conservatives, aside from the obvious intelligence level, is that
the nut jobs get things done.
Bottom line folks, we need to become as active or even
more active than the loonies. We can
turn this thing around, but we have to be willing to get out there and make our
voice heard.
